Presentation

The National Master's Degree in Physics Education – “MNPEF” is a program at a national level organized by the Brazilian Physical Society, and brings together bases from different Higher Education Institutions of the country.

The Base 21 of the National Master's Degree in Physics Education of the Federal University of Rio Grande was approved in 2013, together with the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics at the Carreiros Campus in Rio Grande, where the academic activities of the program are implemented.

Objective

Training at a master's level a very large fraction of professors from the Basic Education regarding the mastery of physics content and current teaching techniques used in the classroom

Target Audience

Candidates who are in effective Physics teaching practice in basic or higher education, or Sciences in the elementary school, and also who hold undergraduate degrees in Physics (Teaching or Bachelor's Degree) or related programs recognized by the Ministry of Education ("MEC") may participate in the admission process.
